The XJS was produced from 1975 to 1996. Towards the end of its life Jaguar made one of the most significant improvements to this iconic GT. While always having a 12 cylinder engine available, in 1994 the engine size went from 5.3 to 6.0 liters. In doing so the car gained a 4 speed automatic transmission that features a sport and normal driving modes. Not only was there a power increase but also a torque increase and much improved drivability. These were very rare and very expensive cars of their time. Very few exist today in premium quality condition.

Presented here is an outstanding example in British Racing Green. Having had three owners, its first owner kept it for only a short period of time. Its second owner had it for nearly 12 1/2 years, and it's third owner had it 16 1/2 years. Its last owner was a collector of British cars and used it sparingly having only put just over 4000 miles on it. It has always been maintained to the highest standards. In the last 4000 miles maintenance that its previous owner had performed included:

• Replace 2 axle seals
• Replace axle bearing kit
• Oil baffles
• Replace ABS sensor
• Install 4 braided stainless steel brake hoses
• Replace front brake calipers
• Replace rear brake calipers
• Replace brake pads
• Replace water pump
• Replace hoses
• Replace spark plugs
• Replace temperature sender
• Replace thermostat and gaskets
• Replace belts
• Replace fuel filter
• Replace radiator
• Install new front brake rotors

Even though we have extensive records of all of this recent work that was done, we still had a thorough inspection performed by our local Jaguar specialist, the Jaguar Doctor of Boca Raton FL. As with every car we sell we like it to be at the highest possible standard and turn key for its new owner. We had the Jaguar doctor perform:

• Replace distributor cap
• Replace ignition rotor
• Replace 2 ignition coils
• Replace all 12 spark plugs
• Replace trans spool replace antenna grommet
• Replace one injector
• Replace antenna grommet
• Repair auxiliary fan wiring and wire it to run full time with the ignition on
• Replace right rear quarter window
• Remove radio to get the radio code

Our 6.0-liter XJS is now turnkey and ready for its new owner to enjoy daily. Everything in this magnificent example works and works as it should. Even the cruise control works! On the day that we photographed it, it was over 90° outside. As you can see from the photos and videos the temperature never went above normal and the air conditioning was blowing hard and cold. This is a magnificent example that drives and performs as good as it looks.

The paint is magnificent and is all original. At 30 years old it has barely any flaws. It is completely rust free as one would expect. All the chrome gleams and the moldings are soft and pliable. The convertible top is in amazing condition with no known flaws. The same for the headliner which is just beautiful. Inside all the leather is original as is the wood. It barely shows any wear and the wood is free of any cracks or fading. This would be an excellent contender for JCNA and AACA shows. It has tremendous potential to be a multi award winner. There are no excuses on this beautiful XJS.
